In Yiddish it means confused, mixed up, or stressed out.

I am all of the above, which accounts for my not posting for several weeks. The Presidential election has thrown me for a loop. The division in our country is palpable; people are ruder, meaner, quicker to take offense—in person and online. I am trying to not let it affect me, but it does.
